Florida Association of Realtors at a Glance

The Florida Association of Realtors is the main institution in the state dealing with everything involving the real estate industry. The Florida Association of Realtors would have its beginnings tracing back to 1916, when real estate brokers from various Florida communities would hold a convention in Jacksonville. This would mark the beginning of the Florida Association of Realtors, having fairness, honesty, and professionalism as its main goals in creating the organization.
Currently, the Florida Association of Realtors has over 115,000 members, making it the largest real estate association in the state. The headquarters of the Florida Association of Realtors is located in Orlando, with the Office of Public Policy located in Tallahassee. The latter is the sector of the foundation in charge of overseeing nearly 4,000 proposed legislation changes on any given year, making it one of the most important facets of the organization.
The Florida Association of Realtors is currently headed by President Wendell Davis, and is the appointed President for the 2010 year. Wendell’s main focus as President of the Florida Association of Realtors is to focus providing education to its members and to provide for the necessary means to adjust the policies regarding real estate in Florida in order to benefit both the real estate professional and the consumer. 
The CEO of the organization is currently John Fridlington, who is responsible for the overall administration of the organization as well as the financial considerations.
