The Seminole County property appraiser generally has to handle appraisal of properties that have a lower value than property in other counties in Florida. The homes and properties found within Seminole county have a lower average value than most counties in the state.
 
 
 
In Seminole county, some of the land is considered the tribal land of the Seminole Indians, who are exempt from paying property taxes. However, there is also a lot of land that is privately owned and the Seminole County property appraiser is in charge of making determinations about the value of that land.
