Houston Association of Realtors at a Glance

Based on membership, the Houston Association of Realtors is the most expansive and prominent trade association in the city of Houston, Texas. Furthermore, the Houston Association of Realtors is also considered to be the largest local Association of Realtors in the entire United States. 
Currently, there are over 26,000 members in the Houston Association of Realtors, which includes professionals in the various real estate fields and/or professions such as residential and commercial real estate, appraisals, property management, real estate leasing, and counseling. The Houston Association was originally founded in 1918 as a way to provide real estate professionals a collective source to help them achieve success while also maintaining professionalism.
The Houston Association of Realtors is currently headed by Margie Dorrance, the Chair of the Organization, while C. Robert Hale III is the currently acting CEO and President of the Houston Association of Realtors. The organization is also affiliated with the Texas Association of Realtors, as well as the National Association of Realtors, which comprises a network of 2,000 local associations and boards throughout the state and the rest of the of the country.
